blue laws n. Laws regulating or prohibiting certain otherwise legal activities, especially commercial activities, either on Sunday or all the time for essentially a religious reason. For example, an ordinance prohibiting the operation on Sunday of a dance hall within city limits is a blue law if it was enacted for religious purposes.

Imagine for a moment, if you can, a Holy Entity ruling our planet. A global king.
Have you thought about how will this affect your day to day? Maybe a mandatory day off. A big do-nothing day. In the world where so many people rarely get a day off after working fifty, sixty or even eighty hour weeks a day off must seem like a good thing.
Unless...
I know what you're thinking. It's my only day to shop, get groceries, buy my car, take a breather.
But if blue laws were revived, and we were able to use a day off for the purpose the Lord intended, to worship him and refresh our spirits, might this be the beginning of a ripple affect? Maybe there would
be less competition and more companionship.
Maybe we would have a global union of respect and appreciation.
Maybe for once all would be right with the world.

Interesting proposition . . .
